Richard’s Answer

Becoming a dentist first requires that you do your research to determine if dentistry is really the career that you would enjoy. That involves speaking with your local dentists, volunteering at a dental school or hospital dental department, and even getting a part time job at a dental office.

The road to becoming a dentist is long and expensive: Four years of college, and then 4 years of dental school.
I highly suggest going to schools that are the most affordable (state universities) or will give you scholarships. Otherwise, you will start your dental career with hundreds of thousands of dollars of debt!

I don’t believe there is one hardest part of becoming a dentist. But the first and most important step is doing your homework, and learning everything you can about the life of a dentist, and that is by spending time in the field and talking to a lot of people. Once you are reasonably sure this is the kind of work you would enjoy, then you can justify all the hard work and study that’s ahead of you.

First of all no college course is easy. You have to have the passion and lots of determination for you to be able to finish dentistry. It takes a lot of patience and hard work too. You have to be mentally, physically and financially prepared for it. Dentistry is a noble job, as long as you put heart and soul into it nothing is impossible. Good luck!:)

Khushi’s Answer

Every career has its challenges and dentistry is included in that; there is not just one thing that makes dentistry challengign.
The process of becoming a dentist is challenging from applying to dental school and then also an intense 4-5 years of studying to become a dentist with long working hours, complex in depth course content and then of course the practical and physical demand. The course is challenging but very much worth it and you learn to be resilient and adaptable in this time!
