When should I start preparing for the expenses of college? I plan on getting a scholarship, but it's good to know just in case that doesn't happen. #FALL22

Sooner than later. It is a good idea to save money for education as early as you can in high school.

Immediately! Save as much as possible, even if you plan to get scholarships. There are many other expenses you will need to cover outside of tuition and books, and it will help you tremendously if you have money saved to cover them rather than trying to work and go to school at the same time. Save save save!

There is no better time to start saving for college than now the thought crossed your mind. Getting a scholarship is a good way of reducing college expenses. But you still need extra cash.
