Hi Kenny,
Salaries for Cyber Security will depend on education level, work experience, geographic location, cost of living, etc. One can view salary ranges for Cyber Security at websites like www.indeed.com, www.glassdoor.com, www.linkedin.com.
Salaries and compensation packages will vary depending on the state, especially if the cities are like a major metropolitan area like New York, Boston, Atlanta, Houston, etc. Pending on the level of education and work experience, base salaries can range from the mid $60,000s to the low $100,000s. Then, one has to factor in medical, dental, vision and life insurance coverage; education reimbursement; vacation and personal days; 401K retirement funds, stock options, etc.
Being a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in one's professional field can command a higher base salary plus a compensation package.
Best wishes in your Cyber Security education and career!

According to this Forbes article over six figures: https://www.forbes.com/advisor/education/cyber-security-salary-outlook/#:~:text=Entry-Level%20Roles%201%20Average%20Annual%20Salary%3A%20%24104%2C480%202,strategies%20aimed%20at%20protecting%20their%20company%E2%80%99s%20data%20integrity.
Doing research on my side of my company it looks like entry level cyber security is between $60-85K. I think it depends on where you go to work for Cyber Security and what your title/work level would be. A smaller company that needs it, may not pay as much as a bigger company, but you can always if needed start small to get knowledge and experience, then move on to somewhere else for a bigger salary.

This could vary based on a number of factors such as experience level, education level, location and what the cost of labor is in that area, as well as the compensation strategy for the company that you are applying to. It is important to know that wages on sites like Glassdoor are self-reported and submitted anonymously so the data can’t be validated.
Thank you, this is really helpful.

Depends on location and the company, but ranges from 65-100K.
Cities with higher cost of living like, SF, NY, etc. will give high pay.
Also need to consider other aspects outside of pay including benefits, career advancement opportunities, Work / Life balance, bonuses, etc.
