Hello, this usually depends on the company. Smaller sized companies' interview process is usually shorter with one interview by your hiring manager, one with HR and maybe one with the CEO. With bigger organizations, there can be interviews with peers, or multiple managers.
The process generally goes like this:
1. HR calls you for an interview and arranges a date with your hiring manager,
2a. You accept, and this interview addresses your scope of work, responsibility, your technical capabilities,
2b. If you are a developer, some may ask you to code a sample program,
3. If you pass this interview, they will inform you and set a meeting for your next interview,
4. If your next interview is with a higher-level manager, they usually ask about your aspirations, what and how you think you can contribute to the company, and
5. The next interview is usually with HR where you will talk about salary, number of days leave, HR benefits, when you can start work and submit your documents.
6. Last interview with the CEO (if large organizations) is to find out whether you fit into the company values, your motivation, willingness to learn and adapt, etc - these questions can also be asked in the first interview or with HR.
Hope this information helps!
