Hi Kellie!
You will have plenty of time to focus on what you'd like to pursue after college. My major changed once when in school (it is not uncommon for it to change twice). I thought I wanted to go to school for one subject and pursue a certain type of profession, but after taking a few classes, I realized that profession wasn't for me. Within your time in school, there will be various on campus job fairs that you can visit and it will help guide you in the right direction of what you may want to pursue after school (whether that be a job or further education).

Hello,
Great question… I would start with where you at now with Biology. If you have to go back to school, are prepared for that. Do you want to work solo or team environment…Who do you wanna work with? Living sometimes dictates job choice but above all, what makes you happy with biology and it’s ok to explore, step and pivot in a different direction. This is your opportunity and chance to do so much. Go for all of it🥰

Having an idea of your major is an excellent start, although you have an opportunity to reconsider your decision. It is too early to worry about the direction you take after your college education. Your firm decision about your major will not occur until the end of sophomore year. You will still have a couple of years to figure out your future direction and match your preferences with what is out there. You will get a lot of advice from career counselors.
