State Scholarship help?
Should I stay in state for college if I qualify for a great scholarship applicable across most schools but only in my state?

If you like the course and getting a scholarship it is a good idea to go for it.
In case you are planning to get a Student Loan for your education, scholarship will help you in reducing the amount of Student Debt (which is great!)

Hi Evan,
I think you should go for it! As it sounds like a great opportunity for you. Do some research on the type of degree you will be taking at the colleges that you have applied for. Some opportunities are hard to come by if rejected and reapplying for scholarships that are applicable to only those out of state schools.

In State schools, where you can get a scholarship, this can offer a great option. The tuition is about half of schools out of state, and they provide a good education. I have heard that is not so much where you go to school, but what you do with it. You are also closer to your community if you get sick or anything happens. It's also easier to network within your community for internships and job references. This may enhance your travels at a later point to go to a graduate school.

Congratulations on getting a scholarship. I would go for it. Saving money is crucial in these times, and you can seek out the best teachers no matter where you go. You can do your post degree work wherever you want as a basic BA BS will not make much of a difference so be prepared to get a masters. If you can do the first two years at a junior college and then transfer to a University that is another option for saving money.
