What are some jobs of the future that may not even fully exist yet?

I'm wondering if there are any jobs that could become hugely relevant that we don't fully know about yet, like how tech work became popular.

Thank you comment icon By definition, if we don't know about them yet, we can't say what they are. ;-) But they are surely out there. Fred Rosenberger

It is hard to predict what jobs will become the jobs of the future but one thing is certain that the "gig work" is likely to become even more universal i.e. folks doing part time work, own work or multiple jobs. Life will be more rewarding and an individual more in control perhaps :)

I think that technology still has a long way to go. So there may be some tech driven jobs, like handling various AI systems might become a regular or more common job. One field that we definitely need to focus on is sustainability. We need to find a greener way of living. So there might be jobs related to actively finding greener ways to live.

Like a few CareerVillagers mentioned above, as AI continues to become more prevalent in the 21st century, there could be more need for people to ensure the algorithms are built and used ethically. Call it AI or ML Ethicist if you will.

Besides, with ESG getting more traction, it's possible to have opportunities to help businesses transit to renewable energies.

Anish’s Answer

There isn't a single right answer to this, but generally businesses and industries (and by extension, jobs) come from solving existing problems or needs. So if you have a view on what some of the big issues in the world are that people are trying to solve this could provide a clue as to where jobs might emerge (e.g., sustainability). Good luck!
