I am sorry I was a professional Fire Fighter with a City organisation in South Florida. There was room for professional growth and development within my department. I would recommend picking a Department and doing some volunteer work, job shadowing or go to an event that they are sponsoring. Get around the people from the department, work out with them and get to know them.
