1.Show customer testimonials.
This is where customer testimonials come in. Customer testimonials are a great way to increase your online sales. They provide social proof that your product is worth buying.
2.Install a chatbot to help people find what they’re looking for:
Ecommerce chatbots are many successful businesses’ secret sauce. They increase conversion rates by making it easy for site visitors to purchase. When you’re choosing a chatbot, be sure to get one that can:
-Provide your customers with instant gratification through 24/7 availability.
-Give personalized recommendations.
-Provide human-like conversation.
3. Your online business this is something you can do each and every free time you get.

Hi Priscilla,
I wanted to first tell you, you're doing great, having an E-commerce Store with your college on going is actually a huge step into becoming all that you hope for and more.
To help with your question, try the following:
Ensure Each product is manually optimized with good Product SEO practice, also the major part of your store as well needed to be exposed to search engines, this helps you gain organic traffic to the website and hopefully these are people already searching for what you're selling. If this seems too much you may want to try, https://copy.ai
Another thing you might want to consider is Google Listing, implementing this will give your website products huge visibility to potential buyers.
Are you using Shopify or WordPress or something else, whatever it is, have you considered a paid ad on Instagram? Have you also tried posting your products on your Social Network? Having a separate page for your business is highly recommended, also provided you want your personal and business pages separately maintained, you could have this and setup an Instagram/TikTok ads, whichever works for you.
Tell your friends, I'm starting something crazy and I wanted you to check it out, this sounds off, but words travels fast, Have you heard of silk road? The website was an E-commerce illegal store which can't be promoted anywhere openly but still was able to make the owner millions of dollar in 2 years.
Lastly, don't give up, you may not see results immediately but it would surely work, talk to an expert if you have to, find encouragement here and there. Take Care

Hello, as a personal user of Etsy, I would recommend using known platforms to sell your items with a link to your online store, with the potential of building a customer base where Etsy is no longer required. Another option would be to promote your work on Instagram and interact with other content creators.
Thank you for the advice, Elaina. I also have an Etsy to reach a larger audience but my main shop is on Shopify.

Hi there Priscilla,
Well done having a business while studying.
Your previous responders already gave some great tip!
If I can add a few others.
- Look for partnerships. This can come in many forms. Some ideas: backlinks (for SEO purposes), referrals, promotional partnerships, influencers (is there someone you know or can reach out to to talk about your products/shops).
- Try advertising with a small budget and very specific targeting on social media. Find out what your target group is (not only the types of people but especially geography as you will need to send your art which costs money). Pick the right platform (Facebook/Insta are huge but newer platforms can have cheaper opportunities to advertise or even organically grow as the platform is growing).
- See if there is a niche / (online or local) community / specific art fair you can be part of that resonates with your art.
- See if you can find Etsy alternatives that might be smaller or more local that might be easier to stand out in.
- Put some of your art on free art/image/stock platforms to get your name out there
These are just tips. They might not work for your particular situation, in that case they might inspire a new idea to pop up in your mind.
Good luck with your school and business! Your webshop and art looks awesome by the way!
