Anything in life has the ability to affect your mental health. So to answer your question - sure - being an ER nurse can do that. It’s not a relaxing job, or an easy one. But it is a rewarding one. Luckily for you if you are considering nursing, there are many different opportunities available. If you work in the ER one day and hate it, you don’t have to stay there.
At the end of the day, do your research on this career. And see what other avenues may interest you. Goodluck!

every nursing job can affect your mental health! but as alexa said, it is meaningful work that can be very rewarding. also there are many resources that can help you manage mental health issues if needed.
