If you're asking how long does it take to become a Neurologist/Neurosurgeon the answer is 4 years in college, 4 years in medical school, 1 year internship and 3 years of residency.

Neurologist/Neurosurgeon typically works around 40-70 hours per week.

They are on call quite often, and their work week can EXCEED 70 hours a week. Being on call means that there is no set hours. You can be called in at the middle of the night. Its a great career if you are okay with basically no set routine. I personally would not be able to handle that!
