I love that idea! That is just what I did. Find jobs that relate to what you want to do. When I worked carpentry and construction, I tried to find things that overlap with real estate. Working in carpentry, taught me things like time management, math, budgeting, and customer service skills that I have learned and positively impacted my career in real estate.

Hi Eduardo!
That is a great question!
My first thought connecting Carpentry to Real Estate would be looking into becoming a Home Inspector. You would work closely with Real Estate Agents and Clients and grow your network. A lot of Home Inspection Companies also are able to provide referrals for all sorts of home repair/maintenance needs, so this may be a perfect place to start your journey!
Best of luck to you :)

Hi Eduardo,
Great question. having a sound and professional background will allow you to engage in remodeling homes, which could eventually allow you to purchase fixer uppers and flip them. You could also obtain your Real Estate license, which could allow you complete your own real estate transactions and save dollars.

Hi Eduardo,
From a personal experience, my cousin is a general contractor for home development as well as a Real Estate Agent. This could be something of interest for you as it would allow for you to build and create homes as well as provide an additional business by selling the homes you built. This is something I have seen many successful people do!

If your goal is to flip houses, it would be helpful to have a strong carpentry background, especially if you have a tight budget. Even just knowing what to look for when hiring professionals to do the work, carpentry will help. Not to mention the networking you can do to find people in other trades necessary To flip houses, like electricians and plumbers.
