Mikaela,

There is a lot of adaptive technology that can help you to use computers. Also, there is a law, called the Americans with Disabilities Act, which requires most employers to make "reasonable accommodations" for people with disabilities. I highly recommend you become knowledgeable about it. There are times you will have to be your own advocate, talking with the Human Resources dept about how they can help you. There is a website, JAN - Job Accommodation Network, that employers use to help identify accommodations they can make for people with disabilities. It also might contain some useful information.

I honestly think I would start this search by asking yourself what you like to do and what you are good at. You can then examine the possibilities of different jobs in those areas. I think if you start by saying, "I'm blind, what can I do?" you are really limiting yourself!

Do you have a vocational rehab counselor? Are they working with you on this? Please let me know where your interests lie, and perhaps we can bounce some ideas!
