Most major tech companies offer internship programs for computer engineers! Since it sounds like you are in university, try connecting with your campus career office. There may be career fairs on campus, or similar opportunities to connect with companies about their internship programs. The career counselors can also help with your resume and interview prep :)
The others have given good advice as well: look for internships on LinkedIn, Indeed, and directly on companies' websites.

Hi Amy,
A computer engineering major typically has taken some classes in Hardware design (Logic Design), Computer systems/architecture, System software (scripting, some programming - Python, C/C++). Experience with Verilog/SystemVerilog Hardware Description language for RTL modeling, and Verification is good. These skills are applicable in Hardware Engineering Internships where interns may work on Verification and small Component design in SystemVerilog.
Design/Verification category of hardware design internships are the most numerous. If you have circuit design/simulation, printed circuit board design experience that is another category of internship to consider.
I recommend that you (a) work with your University's recruitment office to connect with suitable companies (b) Start Internship search in September/October of YearA for a Summer Internship in YearA+1. For companies that don't recruit at your school but have suitable listings on Indeed/Linkedin apply directly.
Computer Engineering jobs and internships are in variety of locations - SF South Bay, Austin TX, Research Triangle NC, Portland OR. For a summer internship you might consider more than the bay area for your search.
A couple job listings that illustrate the type of internships:
