What is the most successful way to become an engineer?
I want to become an aerospace engineer to help build things. What is the best way to get there? I really don't have experience on it but I want to learn more. What is the most directive way to get there?

get engineering into your heart and soul. start by getting your hands either fixing things or learning things. you have to want to use your hands, eyes and mind to understand the mechanical world. you could be making models, working with RC cars, fixing your mom's toaster, or just going down to Goodwill, buying a cheap broken coffee maker and tearing it apart, learning how it works.
Engineering, sadly, particularly aerospace is very regimented. rules are tight and must be followed, that is what makes airplanes reliable. consider taking some new habit, such as daily either working on an object or reading an aerospace article, and making that an absolute habit. train yourself to be reliable and habitual.
hands on skills and thought tied to good habits and pure desire will get you there.

Well Hello Ty'ron,
You may already know this by now but you want to get familiar with the various branches of engineering, including aerospace. From there, you'll either be more interested in Aerospace or another branch...but...since you are in New Orleans, I would strongly recommend you reach out to your STEM-NOLA program and Dr Calvin Mackie. He's doing awesome work down there :)

I think if you want to be an engineer, what you have to do now is to learn, to become an expert in a certain field, you need to pay more sweat. There is no shortcut to God helps those who help themselves.
