Making good melodies is something people spend their entire life trying to do. Most people say it's some combination of inspiration and hard work. Sometimes a good melody just comes to you. Other times it takes a lot of work. Either way, the best way to get better is to just do it. Everyone is influence by the people they listen to so listen to a lot of different types of music and see what worked for others that you like. Then make your own melody. Your 100,000th melody is going to be better than your 100th so just keep at it!
