How do you feel about education being free to all people rich or poor?
I'm asking this question because I believe that having knowledge is power and people should be able to access getting a free education.

Hi,
This is a highly controversial topic especially in the US where (i) the cost of education is one of the highest (ii) it has dramatically increased (x3) in the last 20 years and (iii) most people are now jailed by their student debt which has grown out of proportion (1+ trillion Dollars). I am from France where universities are free, and students receive some funding by the government to help them with their cost of living. This is not a perfect model at all, and by taking a closer look you will still find some inequalities, but it is indeed way easier for a student coming from a poor family to financially get access to these degrees.
NYC seem to have recently launched a program of free college tuition, and there might be other similar initiatives cooking elsewhere in the US, but it seems quite limited for now... http://money.cnn.com/2017/09/07/pf/college/new-york-excelsior-scholarship-free-tuition/index.html

I totally agree with you. I'm from Argentina, where education, even higher education, is tuition free. I got my bachelors for free, and the degree I got in my country has 100% value in the United States, it's the same degree. Unfortunately, whether education is free or not is a complicated topic which has to do with the culture and history of a country.
