What colleges are best known for providing computer science internships to different companies?

I have interest within the computer science world but do not have much knowledge of what colleges are best known for their students receiving jobs after they have earned their college degree or even if the college provides internships to different corporations while attending their university #technology

Hey Justin,

Colleges won't directly provide internships or jobs on graduation. It is mainly your efforts to network with people and search. Having said that, some colleges have career/job fairs or some good tech companies host their own events or recruiting efforts by organising it in those colleges. The better reputation of college for computer science related programs, better are your chances to get an internship or getting to attend such events. Some of the best colleges in USA for computer science are CMU, Stanford, UCSD, UIUC, UT Austin, and many more. Such colleges can provide you with pretty good chances to find internship and jobs after graduation because of their rigorous academics and good peers groups inspiring each other.

Hi Justin,

Colleges don't exactly "provide" internships, but some colleges will have recruiting relationships with certain firms. That means they are more likely to have interviews or info sessions at those schools, or attend recruiting events there.

You may be able to ask someone at a college who they have a recruiting relationship with. Often those relationships are based on which companies are local. And, generally speaking, larger and more prestigious CS departments will have more recruiters visiting them than smaller or less prestigious departments.

I recommend first speaking with your high school counselor and also, attending college fairs.
