Myo,
This is a good question for any technology worker to ask. If you are writing code, working as a design engineer, working in a quality assurance role, as a technical sales engineer, or in technical support - everyone needs to understand the purpose of a technological solution.
More generally: Technology must be kept in perspective, it's a tool.
It is a means by which we enable ourselves to accomplish tasks that might otherwise be more difficult, or even impossible. But technology, by itself, is not the answer to all things. We must master it's use responsibly. Poorly designed or misused technology can make people miserable. It is not to become our master. It is up to us to ensure the purpose is moral and kind, and to devise technological solutions that are safe.
