How easy is it to land a job after graduating?
More specifically, how quickly will you be able to be hired after graduating with a Bachelor's degree in some sort of engineering from a high tier college, such as Stanford or MIT? #technology #engineering #job-search

Hi,
A lot depends on your field of study and where you want to work. I suggest getting involved in internships right away. Most universities have an intern program where they partner with local businesses to provide opportunities for students to get real world experience. The competition is usually pretty stiff to get one a few spots, so you'll have to have the grades to make the list. I would also suggest working toward a Masters Degree, if possible. Most companies, mine included, look for Masters Degrees first when hiring potential new managers.

Assuming you make it into and then work your way through and graduate from a prestigious engineering college (a lot of work and dedication involved), you should have not trouble finding a job after graduation.

It definitely depends on what type of job you are looking for, the market, what the employer is looking for.. You have to go and sell yourself to every potential employer.. Have confidence and tell them why you are the perfect candidate for the job and what you have to offer their company!!!!

Internships (paid or unpaid) within your field of study will definitely give you an edge against other graduating students. Take an opportunity to check out https://www.wayup.com/.
