Hi! I do have a colleague attending Cal State and I also did my research and looked at the courses as well as track options - as a physician I personally would advise on pursuing the RN/BSN track versus the LVN because you will be able to take the NCLEX and have a higher status and are more knowledgable with relation to patient care. Personally I prefer working alongside RN's or NP's - which is also another big reason I recommend just getting it through to the RN so in the future if you decide you want to continue, then you can easily go onto graduate school.
I have seen many students falter and become confused at which courses to take etc especially at community colleges or they don't even realize ethere are differences with respect to professional categorization within the field of nursing which will not help you!
