What steps do I need to take to become a Missionary Photographer?

I plan to go to school to study Biblical Studies at Grace College in Indiana, and I wanted to know what is the best way to get into Missionary work. I want to start a blog about my missions and post my photography. Photography is a side job and would love to share other people's stories on my website to help get more hands involved in mission work.

It sounds like you have things pretty well planned out and I like your idea I've thought about it myself often from my thinking 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 good strong emotional photographs accompanied by strong storytelling writing would really be the best way to promote your mission. As far as starting your blog and having others contribute to it I'm not really an expert in that area but I'm sure you could find the best way to promote and be successful good luck with your mission
I think you have a great idea and should be ultimately very fulfilling and couple that with your love for photography and seemingly a giving person I think that you will really enjoy all the effort you put forth.

Based on your introduction, I would recommend that you are comfortable with street photography. This is a specialized genre in which you capture people in their in their most natural environments expressing character. It an be a little intimidating at first since this form of photography is generally very close to the subject. It is getting your subject comfortable enough with you taking the shot. Your blog can then describe what the person(s) may be experiencing.
