Hey Jose,
This is a great question. Many people dish out tons of money every year to attend college and sometime the decisions are based on the name of the school. I can tell you from personal experience that the name of the school does not really matter. What matters the most is how you fit into that school. When you go to college you want to get a good education in a comfortable environment. I went to Penn State University, because I came from a a large high school so going to a large college was an easy transition for me. I was used to talking to different people everyday and being in large classrooms. However at the same time I know people from my freshmen year who came to Penn State because they heard of the name and the reputation that it carried, but could not stand the school once they joined because they could not fit into the environment. My one friend who transferred was not used to being in such large classrooms and proffered a smaller one where he could get more one on one education. Others that came to Penn State could not stay because they were not used to living in a rural area coming from bog cities.
So I would say the most important thing to do when you are deciding on a college is not look at the name of it, but rather ask yourself if you could see yourself in the environment and with the people. If your asking because you think brand name colleges will give you a "one up" in terms of hiring and jobs after college, I would argue that its not true. You can make a name for yourself at any college, you just have to work on your personal brand from day one.

Hi Jose!
I hope all is well. I attended a local Community College for one year and was then hired full time to work as a Corporate Paralegal. I had no degree, no previous experience working as a Corporate Paralegal and no office experience. I was hired purely off my interview and how I scored on a given test. I was able to take online classes while working full time and received my A.S. degree. I am now working for a Software company in Client Support.
I have found that while many employers say that a degree is required or preferred, in most cases if they like your resume and who you are a college degree is not always required.
I say go to the school where you are most comfortable and can have the most enjoyable learning experience. I am very excited for you and what your future holds. Focus on the important things in life such as learning and growing, family and friends, going after your passions and so on.
Wishing you all the best.
