Raquel’s Answer

Dancing is a learned skill, the best way to get better at it is to practice diligently. You need to take time every day to practice. It's important to get really good at the basic, core movements of whatever dance style you're doing because everything builds off those. But you also need to work on more difficult movements and sequences to build strength, coordination, and skill. If you have teachers it's always good to ask for constructive criticism, and learn how to incorporate it. No one likes being told that you're doing something wrong or could be better, but learning to appreciate those critiques and working to better yourself is how you'll distinguish yourself as a great dancer. It takes patience and work, but you can do it!

Marcelius Levites’s Answer

Hello, Cierra. To answer your questions. You first must understand your weakness and strengths. Once you have separated the two. Practice more on your weakness. Make sure you're moving from within in and that it's what you feel not what you want to feel. Allow the beat to become one with your body. Study African Dancers on YouTube.
