How hard is it to have two Majors that are completely different from each other?

Would it be very hard to major in two fields that have nothing to do with each other, for example Biology and Criminal Justice? And if you did something similar what are some habits or tips you wish you knew beforehand. #criminal-justice #criminology #biology #FBI

Hello Eunice,

It will be tough. I myself pursued four majors and graduated, but they were all specialties in the same area. I survived but it was tough and your study habits and ability to take the pressure needs to be top notch. Remember life will happen and there will be events outside of your control.

Definitely speak with your academic advisor and tell them you want to dual major and work with them to set up a plan for achieving that goal. They know the most about what classes to take and how to fit them together. Be sure to balance challenging courses with a few easier ones in each semester to ensure you're successful.

The best study habit I utilized was to take 15 minutes after each class to review the material and my previous notes. It may not seem like much at first but over time all that review adds up and studying for quizzes and tests won't require an 'all-nighter' to prepare because you'll have already study a great deal.

Hope this helps,
Nick
