What are sosme great ways to find out a career i would enjoy and be interested in, because i am having trouble figuring out what i want to do with my life.
I know i'm great at cosmetology but i've also always been into real estate and i love kids. I have no idea what the best major would be for me. #career

Hi Aurora,
I would try to take as many different kinds of electives as you could to see what you really like. Also, maybe try volunteering at places that relate to your interests. If you love kids, you can look into volunteering at a local library to help out with their children's programs, etc.

Hi Aurora! Great question and this is something that most of us ask or have asked ourselves. The best way to see if you like something is surely to try it out as Paris said and see if you like it. So find opportunities that will help you give an idea as to what a day in such a profession would look like, reaching out to people who are doing what you think you might be interested in doing and picking their brain would be a good starting point.
I found this piece of advice that one of my teachers gave me very useful - "find something that is the intersection of your passion and money". Let's face it, money is important and say you are doing something you absolutely love but the income is sporadic or unpredictable, it's going to take a lot of metal resilience to stay sane and keep at it. If money is all the we chase, then burnout and dissatisfaction are inevitable. So find something that you genuinely like doing which also servers as a stable source of income, this way you'll have the time and money to pursue your true but niche interests in your spare time with satisfaction and financial stability. If things catch on, then you can make that your main act! If not you can keep it as a hobby or side hustle and keep going forward.
