what are some jobs through seamanship that don't include being on water ??
I like seamanship but I am not a fan of large bodies of water.

A Longshoreman might be the answer you are looking for. They are the people who load and unload the ships.

Another possibility you might want to consider is learning how to operate underwater drones. This is one course of study offered at Northwestern Michigan College's Marine Technology program and is becoming very popular with many opportunities in the Great Lakes. These are also called underwater ROV's, Remote Operated Vehicles.

It's my understanding that ROV's and remotely operated sonar are being used more and more in place of divers or in settings where diving is impractical.
