Hello, as someone who has a BA in Political Science, I can tell you that there is no major difference between a BA and BS in Political Science. The basic division of the categories is Bachelor of Arts versus Bachelor of Sciences. Many universities will categorize Chemistry, Biology, and Physics (there are others) as Bachelor of Science as these are considered the 'core' sciences that we recognize. Political Science, Economy, and International Relations (just to name a few) are considered social sciences therefore are categorized in Bachelor of Arts. I believe most universities a Bachelor's in Political Science will be a BA not a BS. From what I know, there is no big difference between the two. Even most jobs looking for a graduate with a Bachelor's in Political Science will not specify if they want a BA or BS as a job candidate. I hope this answers your question. political-science , college

Michelle pretty much nailed this question. The main difference is really just about the core classes the degree requires you to take in order to fulfill it. I would suggest that if you're struggling to choose which one, look at the course requirements for each degree and see which one best fits your interests and skill sets. Either way, a BA or BS in political science isn't too different.
