This one should be as simple as possible. If its something that drives your mind to continue to learn and explore, its the right thing for you. If you want to see what else your field has to offer, then you know that its something that will fulfill you. Another word of advice, is if you go down a path, its never to late to head back and start something new, thats the beauty of life!

Hi Tarren! This is a great question that a lot of people ask themselves in college. I was an accounting major in college and after my first semester I stopped to ask myself these questions.

  1. Do I enjoy learning about this?
  2. Could I see myself working in this field?
  3. What kinds of jobs would I ideally want to get with this degree?

If you are not able to answer these questions, then I would try one of two things. First, if you really dislike the program and you do not enjoy what you are doing, then I would try something else. To test the waters, you can try taking an elective class in another field that interests you. If you are still on the fence, then I would recommend trying to get an internship in that job area. I have found that it is best to try something out before changing your mind.


At the end of the day, I highly recommend choosing a career path that interests and challenges you. Your career will last longer than college, you might as well spend it doing something you enjoy.
