Do you think double majoring is particularly hard to do?

In college I want to double major in writing and engineering. I'm really passionate about writing it's my favorite subject and thing to do. I'm getting more into the field of engineer and I enjoy it minus all the math #electrical-and-electronic-manufacturing
#writing #journalism

Lidiane’s Answer

Hi, if you love to writing I think you should stick on this, if math is not ur strongest skill you may have a problem in engineer and it will not motivate you to finish the course.
Also you will need to dedicate and focus in one if you want to be successful

I dont know how I got into this but GET OUT OF ENGINEERING NOW! If you enjoy writing you will be good. Engineering is getting saturated these days cause of oil prices. Taken a big hit. Honestly leave while you can. Maybe u can get another major like history or literature or political science. That way you can write on these topics very well.

Why are you in Engineering in the first place if you don't like match or electrical stuff?

No, because you may even change your career 10 years from now or even 15 years now. So it's good to have two things one as a fallback. Just make sure you excel at both of them and it makes your heart sing .

Lawrence’s Answer

Stick with just one major. Employers now won't care. Stick with the engineering and use the remaining courses to take upper level courses in engineering - which will make you a better candidate for a job. Writing is a great passion. You can work on that thereafter.
