Brittany’s Answer

Hello Shanya,

I have been a physical therapist for over 12 years. It is a continually growing field! There is so much we can do with physical therapy to improve and enrich people's lives. and our communities! I had multiple job offers coming out of grad school.
Try to get some volunteer/observation hours in to see if PT is something that you would really love to do! There are MANY fields within PT (ortho, acute, cardiac, pulmonary, primary care, ER dept, pediatrics, geriatrics, pelvic floor, neurology. . . ). The opportunities are endless!

Peter’s Answer

Hello Shanya,

I graduated from graduate school a little over a year ago! I got a job right after I passed my board exam and have been working for over a year now! I’m a traveling physical therapist which is awesome! I have traveled to South Carolina, Missouri, Arizona and now I’m in California! If you have specific questions regarding physical therapy, the industry, schools, what to major in, etc, let me know and I will do my best to answer them.

Thanks,

Peter

Peter recommends the following next steps:

Depending on where you are at you will need to go to grad school for physical therapy. It’s usually a 3 year degree after completing undergraduate school, but you will get your doctorate degree!
