Marcelius Levites’s Answer

Hey!! Krystiara I hope all is well. That's awesome that you have your career picked out already.
Even though my career is not in nursing degree, I would love to answer your question.
I love helping others achieve in any way that I can, even if it's a Hey! or simple advice. It's just in my blood.
To be honest I didn't pick my career, It picked me. I look at myself as the help and also as an individual that speaks and stands for those who are unwilling or unable to do so. I have many Degrees. I'm a Master Herbalist, in which I give advice on taking care of your body at any age from babies, to pregnant women and all the way to the elderly.

I have a Modeling degree, I'm a Football (Soccer Coach) and I have one more year to get my Associates in Liberal Arts and Humanities.
In my free time besides being a Mother. I enjoy working with the youth and I really enjoy volunteering within my community. When you enjoy what you love and it makes you happy it's not a job anymore It's just who you are. What, makes me happy every day is knowing that I've helped someone one way or the other.

Best wishes, on your career. You will be great. It will get hard at times, but as long at the end of the day, you also take care of yourself and don't bring your workload home with you.

Many, Blessing Love.

Renea’s Answer

Dear heart,

I am not a nurse, but my DAUGHTER is! Also a friend of mine is a nurse anesthetist! She went back to school after her daughter graduated from college but had a nursing degree already which was a Bachelor's degree. She then got her Masters degree which is what you need to have to be a nurse anesthetist. This job pays well and pay close attention to the person's weight and double check, you do not want the patient to be feeling pain during surgery if you did not formulate the anesthesia correctly going by their weight. Just a note too: Although you use propofol for a colonoscopy, this anesthesia is not used by the patient's weight I was told at my colonoscopy session. Always seek to learn something new every day!

Godspeed, not good luck.

Marie’s Answer

To be a nurse anesthetist you will need a strong intensive care skills including intubation and arterial line placement. Get all the certification and skills certifications that you can get. This will improve your chances of getting into a nurse anesthetist program. Plan on 2 to 4 years experience in critical care before applying. You will need this time to set a budget and save money. You will not be able to work while you are in the program. There are only a few programs that are good look into them early to see requirements. This is a good career path and very rewarding. Best of luck

Marie recommends the following next steps:

Stong critical care skill
Certification and certificates for critical care and critical drips
Work and save
Investigate potential schools
Apply and enjoy
