Cristina’s Answer

Hi, Geraldine, I’m so glad you asked this question! A nursing major describes a person who has been accepted to the university’s nursing school program in the College of Nursing. Once you’re accepted into the program, you’ll take higher level undergraduate courses specific to the nursing major, which meet the requirements for graduation.
Before you apply to the nursing program, you’ll be categorized as a pre-nursing major. The classes you take during this time are required for you to apply to the nursing program; they are called pre-requisite courses.
Hope this explanation helps- best wishes and good luck!
