What jobs are there that are biology centered but not in the medical field?
I'm a sophmore and I really loved biology, but I get really sick when I think of anything medical related/blood makes me faint. I'm just curious to see what kind of jobs are out there.

Hi Hannah! Biology is an exciting field of study, and there are lots of fields you could look into, as Anna mentioned. One field of study in the healthcare field that does not require you do to medical prodedures is genetic counseling. The field of genetics is expanding into healthcare in many areas - and specifically in cancer it can help with treatment options as well as let patients know if the cancer that runs in their family is due to a gene mutation. You will need to get a Master's degree from an accredited program. If interested, you can get more information about Genetic Counselors from the National Society of Genetic Counselors (www.nsgc.org), or about different schools that have genetic counseling programs at the Accreditation Council for Genetic Counseling (www.gceducation.org). Good luck!
