Rita’s Answer
Undergraduate usually 4 years
Medical school 4 years- You are technically a doctor but you need to go through training which is called internship and residency
Residency depends on which field you choose. First year of residency is called internship.
Examples
Family medicine 3 years
Pediatrics 3 years
OB Gyn 4 years
Psychiatry 4 years
Internal medicine 3 years- but let’s say you want to be a cardiologist or gastroenterologist then you need to add additional years for training in that field and that additional training is called a fellowship
