Lauren,

It looks like medicine is your area of interest. I feel like what you find stressful may be different to what I find stressful, but regardless, stress seems kind of inevitable in medicine and health care and I certainly experience it. The other poster shared good strategies, at least some of which I myself find helpful as well.

I personally value personal relationships and interpersonal connections, and find that this helps me move past stress to focus on helping patients improve their health. For example, treating workmates with openness, kindness, and respect often helps me build strong, respectful working relationships with them, and we can be a great source of strength and resilience in (and outside) the workplace for one another. And of course, it's also often helpful to have people I trust that I can debrief with, after a particularly challenging patient encounter, for instance.

I hope this is helpful. Let me know if you have any other questions I can help you with.
