Hi there, it depends on what type of schooling you do. If you want to be a veterinarian technician, usually schooling is 2yrs. If you want to be a veterinarian, I believe the schooling for that is 4yrs. As far as newcomer friendly, there are a lot of places that do welcome new faces. I always recommend doing research before applying to places and ask how the training works so you do not feel as if you are not learning anything. I hope this is helpful information!

Hey there! I just wanted to share that I began my journey at a 2-year college, which was an excellent decision for me as it catered to my financial situation, offered smaller class sizes, and aligned with my personal preferences. After completing my 2-year degree, I confidently transitioned to a 4-year institution where I found myself ahead of some peers, thanks to the transferrable credits I had earned.
What's essential to consider is what aligns with your goals: do you value achieving an associate's degree first as a milestone, or is obtaining a bachelor's degree the main priority for the career path you want to pursue? I personally opted for a 2-year degree program initially, took a break to explore professional opportunities, and then continued with my education at a 4-year college while working.
Remember this: there's no one-size-fits-all journey, and each path can lead you to success! Embrace the journey that suits you best and believe in yourself—you've got this!
