Honestly, you should really focus on subjects in school right now for your grades. Doing this may show a type of passion that may spark during your studies. This will really help with figuring out your major.

Careers are made over time and few people pick a carreer and stay in that field. Your education typically gives you exposure to many endeavors. Pick a career, execute all graduation requirements and get into the workforce. You can change careers if you realize a mistake has been made. Perceptions about Careers are sometimes not fully understood or your not your "cup of tea." Be patient if you enjoy your work tasks and activity, but don't continue down a career path just for compensation. Money buys material objects but not necessarily happiness and contentment.

Try a focused google and youtube search. If you know what field interests you, but you are not sure what jobs are available in these fields. I recommend making a short list of a few board fields such as health care, sales, software. Then, your seach should be Top health care careers , should yield results that get you closer to picking the career you want

You should follow your passions in life when choosing a major in college. Find out what you love to do and center your major around that. As far as keeping your grades up in High School, this is all about being committed to being the best student you can be. When your teacher gives you homework, go above what is being asked of you.

Know what you are passionate about, in my mind, comes from 3 things that you need to weigh. The first is what is in your head that you want to wake up every morning and do. You will spend more time at work than you do at home - so what do you think you want to do that is meaningful and puts you in a happy place. Work should be fun - do do what you like to do. So What do you think you want to do. Second - what is in your gut that says - I really think I can do the and using my discussion on path below - can you get where your head is telling you to go - or do you have to get their in steps - or do you have to do something not #1 in your head - but you have the ability and opportunity to get there. It all depends on your situation. Finally - your heart. If you don't have demands that have to influence your decision - if you pursue what you really want to do from your heart - then you will potentially be fulfilled as well.
The is no one path to a career and for each person - their path the same career is different. So, don't get frustrated if someone cannot give you a blueprint.
As the above persons said - the keys are 1) Your interest 2) Your ability to pursue that interest 3) The opportunities that present themselves to you to pursue your interest 4) Remaining flexible as you learn things along the way and adjusting 1, 2, and 3 above to get to a place you need to be.
One of the things I learned early in my career search is to pursue my gut passions, but realized I don't know what it looks like until I get there and I may have to adjust - and that is exactly what I did (as well as any professional you talk to).
So, can anyone give you the perfect recipe to find your career path - no. But, if you start examining your interest, ability and opportunities - then narrowing down a road to go down to get there is easier to define. I hope that helps.

Great question! When I was in high school, I didn't know what I wanted to do. But by staying involved and actively participating in high school, I developed habits that later helped me succeed in college. These habits and skills included asking questions without fear, building relationships with teachers and classmates, understanding my personal learning style, and managing my time well. While in college, I discovered my passions and found a career path that matched them. Finding a career path and your passions can be tough, but the more experiences and activities you have in life, the more you'll learn about yourself and what you want to do or avoid.

Laksha, you're asking fantastic questions! It's incredible to see someone so curious and eager to explore their interests. My first suggestion is to grab a pen and paper and jot down everything you find captivating. You can even try constructing a vibrant vision board, as someone previously recommended - it's a brilliant way to kick-off your journey of self-discovery!
Be sure to pay attention to what excites you the most and what activities fill you with happiness. Keep an eye out for any community-based volunteer events, where you can not only get in touch with your interests but also contribute positively towards your community. Remember, stepping out of your comfort zone can lead you to uncover hidden passions!
You've got this, Laksha! Embrace your curiosity and forge your path to a life filled with things you genuinely love and enjoy. Best of luck!

Awesome question, I suggest you study every day. If you are having difficulties in any of your courses, please reach out to a tutor or your teacher for help.
What do you enjoy doing? What are you passionate about? Think about want will make you happy every morning when you wake up?
If you know someone who is already in that career, reach out them ask them if they would become your mentor.

Really think about what kind of things bring you joy. Do you like being around people or would you prefer to do something more secluded? How can you incorporate things you enjoy doing into a career? And keep in mind that you don't have to decide while you're in high school what you want to do for the rest of your life! I changed my major in college 3 times before I finally made up my mind and even now I'm working in a completely different field! Don't put too much pressure on yourself right now to make those huge decisions. Focus on what is important right now and what you need to do to get into college. You'll gain more experiences once in college that can help narrow down your decision making too. Being happy with a career is the most important thing!

Good Morning Laksha,
Great question- I would make note taking in class and homework a priority in high school. The best way to line up your classes of interest is to take an assessment test of some type. See your counselor and they should be able to lead you through some type of test which should lead you to your top interests. Once you figure that out you can research that career pathway & see the various jobs in that pathway; this should lead you to some classes to take that would be required in that field. Again, please use your academic counselor for help with this. If they seem busy you can always connect with one of your teachers as well. Another great thing to do is Job shadow in the pathway you "think" you may be interested in as sometimes by shadowing you'll find out components of the job you may or may not like- Best Wishes to you as you navigate through this exciting time!

You are on the right path because you know it takes steps to complete any goal. The best way to find out your passion is to think about what makes you smile, what makes you feel better when you have completed it?
First, make a vision board
Second, write down your TOP 3 interests
Third, Research each one. Find out the salary ranges, can you live a comfortable life with that range? Are you willing to relocate? Etc.
Finally, once you know what you want to pursue. Set your 3-step goal process
Goals: 1 year - 2 year - 5 year (never set goals that our far out of reach, this can lessen your focus an attempt to reach them)
