After going through air traffic control training, will I have to memorize coordinates or things of that nature when working with certain tools or will there be an option for me to look things up if I get stuck or forget something??

From the small video over view that I watched on this occupation, I noticed various advanced technology being used and I want to know if it will be difficult for me to get the hang of it or if there is a safety net to ensure that I don't forget how to do certain things while I am working.

To be clear I do not work in this industry, but I would imagine there is a learning curve just like with anything you are starting new. Advanced technology may seem daunting at first, but over time you'll like laugh at being scared and not be able to do your job without it and use it quite seamlessly. Hopefully someone with more industry knowledge can help you out but my assumption is that to start you may have something to help guide you as far as the INs and OUTs of the role and potentially tools you can use as training wheels per say. There are so many great resources out there today to help you with understanding the day to day for certain jobs. I bet there is a youtube video on how to become an air traffic controller. Dont' give up on your dream just because you're scared, do it anyway and look back and smile :-)
