When going into Criminal Justice degrees as a woman, are there struggles or biases in colleges courses?

I don't want to be looked at like I don't belong there.

Olivia, college isn't too bad. The workplace still has its people who think we don't belong there. We just have to prove them wrong. Be good at what you do. Don't talk about your fellow officers. Maintain secret that which is told to you in confidence. Be there to back them up. Volunteer to handle their calls when you know they are having a bad day or don't feel well. We can "belong." Sometimes it's just a little more challenging.

The fact is this. Speaking in generalities, there are certain things women tend to be better at, and it could be handling domestic disturbances, calming people down, handling emotionally disturbed people, writing good reports for complex cases, etc. All the officers on a shift, or in a precinct, or whatever, are part of a team. They all have certain strengths. They all have a weakness. Together, there is nothing they cannot handle. As long as y'all work together in harmony, things will be fine.

Don't let obstacles deter you from a goal. You've got this!
