I keep multiple to do lists to keep track of everything I need to get done. I do this so I don't forget things, but also so I can prioritize the things that are most important and so I get things done efficiently. Imagine you need to go to Target to pick up some essentials. You roam the aisles, find what you need and go home. As soon as you walk through the door, you remember something else you needed. Now, you have to go all the way back to the store. Imagine what you could do with that time!
The same is true for work. Seeing what tasks needs be done allows you to do "like" tasks together to work more efficiently and to prioritize what's most important (by due date, things that have the biggest impact etc.)
I like to use Google Keep on my phone and smart watch. When I think of something, I open the app on my watch and dictate what I need to remember.

Hi Layla! A to-do list is very helpful and will lead to better organizational skills, if done consistently. It will be a great tool in shifting focus to priority items. Additionally, as you cross out items upon completion, you will feel a sense of accomplishment which should motivate you to complete more tasks. Good Luck!

I developed a to-do list to bring extra structure to my everyday life. Since I already used to-do lists at work, incorporating them into my daily routine seemed logical. This helped me rank my tasks and observe where my time was being spent each day. I discovered that I devoted excessive time to aspects of my life that revolved around my desires rather than my necessities and activities that contributed to the future I imagined for myself.
