Hi Jennifer,
It's great that you're considering your career early in high school, as it's an excellent first step. Although it might be too soon for an ultrasound technician internship, you can still get to know the hospital environment by volunteering in the gynecology department. Ninth grade is a perfect time to explore your options and learn about your chosen field. Productive steps you can take to become an ultrasound technician are to thoroughly research job requirements and expectations, learn about the field through videos and research papers, find universities/colleges you could attend to specialize in the interest, and all in all make sure that it feels like a good fit for you!
It's fantastic that you have a career direction, but remember to explore your reasons for choosing this field and enjoy your early high school years. I'm a college student who also had a clear vision since ninth grade. When facing challenges, I reflect on my initial reasons for choosing my career path. In short, discover your "why" and keep it in mind. Hope this helps!
