Kellie (Kinsella)’s Answer

Hi Zoe! Great question! Most business schools (where accounting usually falls within a university) require students to take higher level algebra and some calculus classes as part of your core business classes. Additionally, most business schools also require students to take statistics classes as well. For accounting, you will use a combinations of basic math and statistics . A lot of your accounting classes will give you the technical skills you need to be an accounting major, but the mathematical portion will be covered during your core business classes.
