What are the steps that I should take to become someone in the field of Aerospace Engineering? I am going into Eighth Grade.
I am thirteen and I have a strong interest in space, math, science, and especially physics.

Hi Barry, it's great to see such passion! You may also want to consider (in addition to recommendations above), especially in high school, some kind of a research program and/or internship through universities and labs to continue building the skills set needed to move towards your goals. It's a great way to get a practical experience in the field you want to pursue.

Its a field that ranges from engine manufacturing, aerostructures, electronics, and computing technology. Numerous opportunities exist for students to engage in STEM, so explore after-school and summer programs to get a feel for the field.

Hey Barry! Aerospace engineering is such a thrilling area to explore! First off, it's important to ensure that you genuinely enjoy it and the tasks involved. It seems like you do, so I'd suggest continuing to focus on subjects like math, physics, logical reasoning, and eventually, calculus. When it comes to math and physics, it's not just about what you know, but also about what you DON'T know and WHY you don't know it. Plus, if you find yourself having a tough time with a certain topic (like multi-variable algebra, for instance), it's crucial to understand WHY you're struggling and figure out ways to overcome it.
