How did one know to continue with a college career?
I am just terrified to start college and wondering if it's actually a good idea or not.

If you're feeling scared or nervous about attending college or university, try asking yourself what you would do if you didn't go. Look at college as a continuation of high school, but with new friends to make.
If you can afford it, think about attending a smaller private college like Swarthmore or Bryn Mawr College, where you'll receive more attention and there won't be an overwhelming number of students. Keep in mind, though, that it can be expensive unless you secure scholarships.
Remember, gaining an education is essential for becoming independent and providing for yourself. Without a college degree, finding work beyond minimum wage jobs, like at a fast food chain, can be challenging. This is just a fact of life in today's world.
