What does it take in order to truly impact a young child's mind, so that what you teach them at age 5 they carry for the rest of their lives? #Spring23
I am about to be a senior in high school and I greatly enjoy making others happy. I want to major in Early Childhood Education or Special Education. This is the questioning I'm using for the scholarship entry, #Spring23

That is, in a lot of ways, an impossible question to answer. I'm not in the psychology field but as someone who has gone through adulthood and childhood and have a hand in someone else's childhood, there's no way to know what will stick with a child. Some one off comment could live with them for the rest of their lives and you have no memory of ever having said it. That's why, in my opinion, it always so important to treat a child with care and respect. Not saying you should wrap them in bubble wrap but if you're always kind and fun around them, they can only learn those traits from you. The saying "lead by example" is probably the best way to go about this.
