My advise would be to go for what you enjoy learning about, what ever interests you and makes you happy!
You are much more likely to enjoy life doing what you like and being around people who like what you do too.
The best way to get to a profession you want, is by thinking what you are good at and that also you enjoy, and then major in that area.
You may not see the relevance now, but you will when you grow older and need to work to make a living and enjoy doing it. Rather than majoring in something to satisfy someone else or something that looks good, and then be sorry you didn't do what you wanted.
Life takes us down many unexpected paths.
The chances of you succeeding are higher if you like what you do!
Good luck

As much as your advisor is telling you to have your life planned out… don’t worry, you still have plenty of time haha.
Some people know immediately what they want to do and that’s amazing! However people like my cousin… kind of just go to college and figure it out while they are there haha. At some point, you’ll find your calling. It’s hard to describe, I went through 100 different interests before settling on making movies. Don’t look over things as small as your random hobby you do every month… you might just want to do that as a career!

Are there any classes that you're in now in high school that just really hold your interest, or reviews subject matter you are naturally more curious about? I found my passion in an art class I was taking and knew that was what I wanted to do!
Another idea is using process of elimination. Look at list of majors and cross out any that you know for sure do not interest you. You can also enter as undeclared. Once you are in college you can always try a class in a field you are interested in. Some professors will allow you to sit in a monitor a class as well.
Ultimately a lot of people wind up in careers outside of what they majored in in college. Do not feel pressure to pick your major/career at this point! Careers evolve over time and will become more tailored to your interests. For example, I have an art degree but now work in Marketing :-) Best of luck!
