Is going into marine biology worth it?

I’ve been wanting to do this for years, last year I even took a marine science and oceanography class at my high school and absolutely loved it, I’ve heard that the pay isn’t great and it’s not worth all the time.

It's truly essential to engage in plenty of volunteering within this area, as it helps you become familiar with others and allows them to know you. By doing so, you establish valuable connections that can assist you in landing a job. Keep in mind, though, that Marine Biology encompasses a diverse range of fields, with fishery jobs being somewhat more accessible than roles involving dolphins or whales, for instance. Although this field presents a highly competitive environment with limited job openings, it's certainly not impossible to find a suitable position!
