I have known nurses who got a 2 year nursing degree and worked as an LVN while they were completing their education to become an RN

You can work as a Medical Assistant or Clinical Assistant while you work on your nursing degree, the experience is very valuable and we consider MAs and CAs a very valuable component of the nursing team.
