Hello Kylie!

Absolutely, your journey towards becoming a nurse is the first significant stride you need to take. I'd suggest you start by researching ASN or BSN programs around your locality to discover the nursing programs on offer. After you've successfully graduated from college, it would be advantageous to secure a position as a Registered Nurse in an Intensive Care Unit. This environment will provide you with the essential critical thinking skills required for Nurse Anesthetist training.

I'd strongly advise gaining a minimum of two years of experience in the ICU before you consider applying. Most hospitals offer job shadowing opportunities, so make sure to ask about the possibility of shadowing a Nurse Anesthetist. This will give you a practical understanding of the role and its daily responsibilities.

Remember, persistence is key in the academic field. Nurse Anesthetist programs are notoriously competitive, so it's crucial to ensure your grades and application stand out from the rest. I hope you find this guidance beneficial.
